In 2011, it was considered the sixth most beautiful coffee in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Inaugurated on <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"December 17\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/17_de_Dezembro\">December 17<\/a>, <a title=\"1921\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1921\">1921<\/a>, with the name of &#8220;Elite&#8221;, coffee, located at 112 <strong><a title=\"Rua de Santa Catarina\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rua_de_Santa_Catarina\">Rua de Santa Catarina<\/a><\/strong>, was associated with a certain frequency of people different from the time. One of those present at the inauguration was the <a title=\"Pilot (aviation)\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Piloto_(avia%C3%A7%C3%A3o)\"><strong>pilot aviator<\/strong><\/a> <strong><a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Gago Coutinho\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gago_Coutinho\">Gago Coutinho<\/a><\/strong>, just arrived from a trip to the <a title=\"Madeira Island\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ilha_da_Madeira\">island of Madeira<\/a>, and was delighted by the splendor of the new art d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n<p>The following year the name would change from Elite to Majestic, suggesting the chic Parisian, more to meet the clientele that was intended to attract, and so appreciated at the time.<\/p>\n<p>They attended the caf\u00e9 names like <a title=\"Teixeira de Pascoaes\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Teixeira_de_Pascoaes\">Teixeira de Pascoaes<\/a>, <a title=\"Jos\u00e9 R\u00e9gio\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jos%C3%A9_R%C3%A9gio\">Jos\u00e9 R\u00e9gio<\/a>, <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Ant\u00f3nio Nobre\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ant%C3%B3nio_Nobre\">Ant\u00f3nio Nobre<\/a>, the philosopher <a title=\"Leonardo Coimbra\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leonardo_Coimbra\">Leonardo Coimbra<\/a>. Later it became a place for the students and professors of the <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"School of Fine Arts of Porto\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Faculdade_de_Belas_Artes_da_Universidade_do_Porto\">School of Fine Arts of Porto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another of the well-known <a title=\"Figures\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tert%C3%BAlia\">figures<\/a> that animated it was the sculptor <a title=\"Jos\u00e9 Rodrigues (sculptor)\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jos%C3%A9_Rodrigues_(escultor)\">Jos\u00e9 Rodrigues<\/a> and the painters <a title=\"Armando Alves\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Armando_Alves\">Armando Alves<\/a>, <a title=\"\u00c2ngelo de Sousa\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%C3%82ngelo_de_Sousa\">\u00c2ngelo de Sousa<\/a> and <a title=\"Jorge Pinheiro (painter)\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jorge_Pinheiro_(pintor)\">Jorge Pinheiro<\/a>. This group would, due to the final classification of the course, adopt the ironic name of &#8220;The four vintes&#8221;, and would remain united in a series of exhibitions in Porto,<a title=\"Lisbon\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lisboa\">Lisbon<\/a> and <a title=\"Paris\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paris\">Paris<\/a> in the period <a title=\"1968\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1968\">1968<\/a>&#8211;<a title=\"1971\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1971\">1971<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, among many other figures, the presidents <a title=\"M\u00e1rio Soares\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M%C3%A1rio_Soares\">M\u00e1rio Soares<\/a>, <a title=\"Jorge Sampaio\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jorge_Sampaio\">Jorge Sampaio<\/a>, <a title=\"Jacques Chirac\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jacques_Chirac\">Jacques Chirac<\/a> and <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Cavaco Silva\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cavaco_Silva\">Cavaco Silva<\/a> also visited and signed the book of honor. Nowadays it continues to be animated with recitals of poetry, concerts of piano, expositions of painting, launches of books, realization of some scenes for national or foreign films.
